A Washington state mother and three children died in a high-speed crash in a Seattle suburb on Tuesday afternoon, authorities said.
Andrea Hudson, 38, was driving a van with five children, including two of her own, when the accident which involved four vehicles occurred in unincorporated King County shortly before 1 p.m.,the King County Sheriff’s Office (KCSO) said.
Hudson and three of the children were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the King County Sheriff’s Office.
The King County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victims as Hudson, Matilda Wilcoxson, 13; Eloise Wilcoxson, 12; and Boyd Brown, 12,according to theRenton Reporter.
Hudson’s children, Nolan and Charlotte Hudson, were critically injured in the accident and were taken to a local hospital, as was the 18-year-old driver who caused the crash, the newspaper reported.
One other person was treated for minor injuries, sheriffs said.

The 18-year-old driver, who has not been publicly identified, is currently under guard and criminal charges are pending, the sheriff’s office said.
According to a GoFundMeestablished on the Hudson family’s behalf, the vehicle that hit Hudson’s van was traveling at a “high speed” of about 90 mph.

In the wake of the accident, multiple families are now mourning the loss of their loved ones.
For the Wilcoxson family, sisters Matilda and Eloise, the eldest of six children, are being remembered as “truly mother’s little helpers.”
“He was an avid violinist, athlete and student and was among the most energetic and fun-loving human beings you could ever meet,” according to the GoFundMe. “His passion for life, learning, and taking on new challenges was infectious to all who were fortunate enough to spend time with him.”

Those who knew Andrea Hudson — who homeschooled the three children she shared with husband Abe and was driving the kids to a “homeschool activity” at the time of the accident — are reeling from her death.
