Meg Bellamy and Ed McVey are stepping into the spotlight asKate MiddletonandPrince William.

On Sunday, the young actors attended the season 6, part 1 premiere ofThe Crownat Regency Village Theatre in Los Angeles. Bellamy and McVey hit the blue carpet with castmates Elizabeth Debicki, Khalid Abdalla, Jonathan Pryce, Luther Ford, Rufus Kampa and Fflyn Edwards four days after theSAG-AFTRA strikecame to a close through a tentative agreement with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers.

“I’m very glad the strike is over. It was an incredibly, incredibly difficult time for many, many people,” Debicki tells PEOPLE.

Bellamy and McVey posed for photos together at the L.A. premiere and smiled in snaps with Ford. The actress even wore ared poppy pinto mark Remembrance Day weekend in the U.K. just like Princess Kate did at theFestival of Remembranceon Saturday andNational Service of Remembranceon Sunday in London.

Bellamy auditioned to casting directors after submitting self-taped videos following a casting call on social media, according toDeadline, which was the first to report the news last year. Meanwhile, McVey graduated from Drama Centre London in 2021 and has understudied theater roles, while Ford studied directing at Arts University Bournemouth and has produced several shorts, theoutletsaid.
