Sabrina Carpenterstill thinks it’s “Nonsense” that she ended up opening for one of her favorite artists on tour.
The pop star, 24, who iscurrently openingfor the Latin American leg ofTaylor Swift’sEras Tour, opened up about experiencing what feels like a full-circle, career-defining moment in an interview withWho What Wear. The“Feather”singer explained she’s still in disbelief about joining the pop superstar, 33, out on the road, but said it’s been like “a dream come true.”
“I’m not gonna say I peed my pants because that sounds really graphic and maybe not sanitary,” the former Disney Channel star joked to the outlet, “but I think it really just caught me off guard.”

“It was very much a childhood dream come true,” Carpenter revealed of touring with the Grammy winner, who she says she’s admired for years.
She added, “I still probably have not processed it if I’m being completely honest with you.”
The “Nonsense” artist also spoke about how much respect she has for the “Anti-Hero” singer, and how far back their relationship goes.
Carpenter told Who What Wear that she first met Swift backstage at a concert when she was 17. “She had her cats with her,” the singer-songwriter recalled, revealing that they bonded over their love of cats.

After Swift plays four shows in Tokyo in early February 2024, Carpenter will join her again for a run of dates in Australia and Singapore.
Since being announced on the Eras Tour, Carpenter has continued to show her love for Swift. In October, she released a two-track EP exclusively for Spotify, which includeda coverof theRedhit “I Knew You Were Trouble.”

The pop singer also toldRolling Stonein an August interview that she hoped to learn from the headliner when joining her out on the road. “Watching her is a masterclass in itself,” she said of theMidnightsartist. “Obviously, she’s very good with words. So I feel a lot more comfortable that I’m going into a situation with someone that I admire so much and I’m just gonna like study.”
