Linkin Parkhas dropped a previously unreleased song that includes the voice ofChester Benningtonon their upcoming album,Papercuts.
The new track, titled “Friendly Fire,” was first released on Friday and comes before the group’s upcoming career-spanning greatest hits album, which drops April 12.
“Friendly Fire” is a previously unreleased track from the band’s 2017 album,One More Light.

The band first recorded the song for their seventh album, and filmed a corresponding music video. The “Friendly Fire” music video was also released on Friday and features never-before-seen studio and live footage.
Lead guitaristBrad Delsonshared that the track “was always one of our favorite songs from theOne More Lightsessions.”
Mike Shinoda, the band’s co-founder, added how it was a “joy” to assemble the tracklist forPapercuts. “Each song in this collection is both a singular moment on our timeline and an evolving story that is as much ours as it is yours," said the musician, 47. “From our first release, ‘One Step Closer’ to the brand-new ‘Friendly Fire,’ this tracklist spans all our chapters so far.”

The upcoming album has a total of 20 tracks, including: “Crawling,” “Faint,” “Numb/Encore,” “Papercut,” “Breaking The Habit,” “In The End,” “Bleed It Out,” “Somewhere I Belong,” “Waiting For The End,” “Castle Of Glass,” “One More Light,” “Burn It Down,” “What I’ve Done,” “QWERTY,” “One Step Closer,” “New Divide,” “Leave Out All the Rest,” “Lost,” “Numb” and “Friendly Fire.”
The band has mostly been on hiatus since October 2017’sLinkin Park and Friends: Celebrate Life in Honor of Chester Benningtontribute concert. However, in February 2023, for the 20th anniversary of the band’s 2003 albumMeteora, the band unveiled apreviously unreleased song, “Lost,”that included Bennington’s vocals.
