Kate Middletonis bonding with a special group of kids and their parents on Tuesday.
After joiningPrince William, Prince Harry andMeghan MarkleatWestminster Abbey on Mondayto mark Commonwealth Day, the royal mom of three stepped out solo for an event supporting families in south London.

One, called the “Circle of Security,” is offered to all parents with infants to 4-year-old children. It aids parents and caregivers with a better understanding of their child’s emotions. It also supports a child’s ability to successfully manage their own emotions and enhance the development of their self-esteem.
Another called “Together Time” supports attachment and bonding between parents and infants, providing time and space for moms and dads to enjoy being with their babies or toddlers. It includes singing, use of child-led play and interaction and is designed to support parents’ ability to understand their child’s cues, feel more confident in their parenting and strengthen their relationship with their child.

LEAP was set up with funding from A Better Start, and Kate’s visit Tuesday follows the trip to Blackpoolwith husbandPrince Williamlast week when they spent some time seeing the Better Start projects there too.
It is the latest outing designed for her to gain agreater understanding of how families can be helpedthrough a child’s early years. Princess Kate has set up a group to look into action that can be taken on their behalf.

“She has a really deep interest in the early years and parenting and families,” David Holmes, CEO of Family Action, told PEOPLE recently.
“Being a parent changes your life so much,” he added. “It’s great that she’s using her own experience and is interested in an area which is such a shared experience for so many.”

It is the first of two outings for Kate today. Later she attends a glam gala evening at the National Portrait Gallery, of which she is patron.
