Pantone , the hoity toity decision council for everything we ’re permit to see , has announced the coloring of the year for 2013 : green . Or well fine , emerald . It ’s unclear what scientific procedure Pantone goes through to determine what the COTY is ( other than complete arbitrariness ) but hey , emerald ’s a prissy color .
Last year ’s color of the year was Tangerine Tangoand though Emerald 17 - 5641 does n’t quite have the alliterative beauty of that colour , it does look like a character green . Or as quality as green can get ? Whatever . Who would n’t need to wear an prescribed color of the year second flannel or lamp or towel or detergent or whatever ? Do n’t answer that question .
