Based on responses from over 150 manufacturing party in eight res publica , the study identifies a number of key findings about possible changes in the number years :
— Manufacturing will become more and more global by 2020 , with around 80 % of manufacturers expected to have multi - country surgery , compared with just over one-half today .
— Supply chains will also increase in complexity and consolidate . Half the party surveyed said they will be using few supplier by 2020 , but 40 % said they will be using more distributors as increased rivalry drive them to make fresh market .
— Manufacturers look changeable what actions to take about light-green publication , but as political and societal imperativeness growth around emissions reduction , pressing action will be call for to reach 2020 targets .
