Belkin has signed on with wireless vendor Airgo to release new products base on the MIMO wireless technology , a longer - range “ multiple in , multiple out ” radio system of rules that is compatible with live Wi - Fi standard ( b and g in this pillowcase ) but can make speeds of up to 108 - megabits per second ( compared to 802.11 g ’s 54 - mbit rates ) .
Some companies did the same thing with 802.11 grand , jumping on control panel before the standard was officially announced . Remember the other standard ? No , me neither .
