Aaron Rodgersis staying positive after tearing his left Achilles.

The New York Jets confirmedon their websitethat the quarterback, 39, was placed on the injured reserve list after the team’s Monday night game against the Buffalo Bills. Rodgers will miss the remainder of the season.

On Wednesday, Rodgers posted astatement on Instagramaddressing the injury himself for the first time.

Jets head coach Robert Salehtold reporters on Tuesdaythat he has a “lot of emotions” for the football star.

“I feel more for Aaron than anyone,” Saleh, 44, said. “He’s invested so much into this organization, so much into this journey that he’s embarked on and wanting to be a part of what we’ve got going here. And how much he’s invested in not only this organization, but his teammates, himself, this fan base, the city, so I have a lot of emotions for him."

The Jets also posted astatement on X, formally known as Twitter, confirming the news. “Not the way any of us wanted it to go, but we know the commitment you’ve made to this team will continue to impact us moving forward. Get well soon,@AaronRodgers12,” the team said.
