Last night ’s Outcasts was by far the best installment so far . This show , which started off with a moment of a obtuse furuncle , has definitely hit its stride , and it ’s got some really interesting spin on its Battlestar Galactica - esque subject .
Spoilers below …
So I think the reasonableness why last nighttime ’s instalment shape well than previous outings were :

1 ) There was a mess going on , and it all went together pretty well . Just arrest out that clip . You have the alternating electric current attacking Carpathia , to assassinate Jack in revenge for Jack ’s fail assassination try on their leader . And the ACs cut the power to the city , which threaten the birth of what might be the last baby ever birth in the colony . And meanwhile , the power cut also lets the false Josie Hunter escape from her cell — and it distract Fleur and Cas , who are thisclose to bump the real Josie Hunter .
secernate me you did n’t yell “ Noooo ! ” at your screen when Fleur and Cass abandoned the search for Josie when they were resist just a few yards aside from her .
2 ) Also , this episode really deepened the whodunit of Carpathia in a way that really work for me . The multitude on Carpathia are deepen as a result of their other - temporal experiences — and they ’re going a fleck crazy , but it ’s also changing them . As Stella tell this time around , “ I do n’t know what ’s like me any more . ” Which is a really nifty line of dialogue . And meanwhile , they ’re dealing with their monstrous posthuman creations , the alternating current , which need them dead . And now it seems clearer than ever that they ’re also face some variety of … force … that does n’t understand humanity and is sort of studying us . And that force may be responsible for for the deaths of the resolution ’s minor , as well as the experimental extinction of the previous hominid inhabitants .

Whatever hold out on Carpathia , it may not be strictly human — I sort of want an epilogue in the last episode , hundred of twelvemonth later , where the posterity of the actinium drudge up evidence of their human ascendent and wonder about this lost civilization .
I really hope we receive out some more about the secret of Carpathia in the two remain episodes — especially if that ’s all we get of this show .
As for last nighttime ’s episode , we got a decent amount of resolve . The real Josie at long last pose home , and rescue her kids from the fake . The assassination plot on Jack run out , and Jack ’s attempt to assassinate the AC leader came to light . And Stella ’s willingness to make the tough call saved both the baby and — miraculously — her female parent . All in all , it was a solid , sometimes thrilling , hour of television .

Oh , and Julius Berger is bet like he may actually pass by Gaius Baltar in floor of “ wanting to reach through the telly blind and strangulate him”-ness .
